The best mileage bivy vehicle you can buy! Made for only a few years, the Prius V (wagon) gets 38-40mpg and can fit a 6ft+ mattress. Just enough headroom to sit up inside.

Vehicle Specs:

  • Highest trim level (JBL audio, heated seats, moon roof, adaptive cruise control)
  • Salvage Title (restored early in it’s lifespan, I faced no issues)
  • 191,000 miles
  • 8” of ground clearance (1.75” lift spacers + 0.5” gained from larger Wildpeak AT tires)
  • Comes with a bed platform, blackout window covers, original rear seats, & tire chains

$6,500 obo

This thing has been my trusted roadtrip vehicle and is surprisingly capable. I am only selling because I recently upgraded to a Promaster van for climbing trips. Located in Flagstaff, AZ

Fwiw, I’m 6-2 and sleep fine with 3” of room to wiggle my toes on the passenger side (a person up to 5-10ish can comfortably sleep on drivers side). For one person, it is an awesome climber mobile. For two it requires an extra 5min of Tetris each evening but still pretty comfy in the back w/ two people. With the lift, it’s truly incredible.

The single greatest benefit to this car… is the stealth factor. When combined with limo tint and/or the WeatherTech window shades (flip em around to the black side at night), you can sleep anywhere you want. I have literally never had my car knocked on at night, over the course of 100’s of nights spent in or near a certain large ditch/valley. This factor is priceless, IMO… also, the seller might even throw in some flip-stops, so there’s that :)

Does it need a new hybrid battery?

I think that's a check for yourself issue in person with Dr. Prius or Torque Pro or whatever the iDevice equivalents are. (Am an owner of an old Prius with a new battery).

I ran my 2014 to 297K mi before it started occasionally giving battery warnings - obviously ymmv and I am very gentle on things I pay for…

It is the original hybrid battery, but it still works great with no indication of needing replacement anytime soon.
