Hello!
I am going out to Devils lake with my oldest (10 yo) for a day while we make our way out to Chicago.
Curious if anyone has best places to focus for bouldering in DL that has a high density of v0 to v5 boulders.

Thank you in advance for the ideas!

I’m don’t boulder much, but I thought Burma Road was an awesome little spot with fairly safe landings in that grade range. It was away from the crowds when I went there as well. I’m sure there’s probably better options.

The "Welcome to the Lake" area?

All of a minute from the car, and lots of other bouldering nearby.

“Welcome to the Lake” is, as stated, 45 seconds from the car and a historic area with five star climbs on the classic purple DL stone and style all right near the lake. That said it’s a lot of highballs and (fun) sandbags.

Burma is a quiet area off the beaten path in the woods with 10 minute approach on different stone but has everything from lowballs to highballs and beginner climbs and is generally soft in comparison.

Either of these though would perfectly fill a day.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
