Post to consolidate sightings of graffiti in Red Rock / Charleston and the surrounding areas.

Please include:

  1. Location of Graffiti and description
    • GPS coordinates / pin HIGHLY preferred
  2. Date observed
  3. Photo of Site
  4. Any extra useful information
    • How to get there "Dale's trail...", "it's around the north side of the large boulder ..."

Your help is greatly appreciated! We work regularly with the Bureau of Land Management to plan service projects and graffiti removal -- posts here will be the fastest way to get something organized!

Hopefully horrible things have befallen Jen, Kenzi, Bella, Rachael, and Tay for defacing this stunningly beautiful boulder.

A little higher and south of Jabba The Hut Rock. Been here at least a year.

I don't have coordinates for all of these but they're in the same general area, within a few hundred yards of each other, on top of the portion of the calico hills that lies directly above the first pullout, and on the other side, red springs rock, cannibal crag, physical graffiti, etc, that terminates at the break where Girl Scout Trail runs.

For both of these below:

Directly below La Fin du Monde. This photo was taken Spring 2023.  I believe this is still here at the time of writing.

It's time for trail cameras. Enough is enough.

It's funny to me how people just go straight to the most oppressive, police state tactics. Instead of this humiliating invasion of privacy, I'd prefer to see law enforcement out there actually enforcing the laws. When was the last time anyone has seen a BLM ranger patrolling off the pavement and on the trail?

I went there because trail cameras are realistic.  Rangers boots on the ground are not.  It's been proposed for decades and it doesn't happen.

A rare victory. Even if they’re not convicted, the message is being sent.

Sorry for the off topic, thought it might be good for morale around these parts.

Sorry I have no picture. Near Classic Rock wall on the west facing, southern cliff there is graffiti in a large hueco.

Some folks with two young girls at The Hamlet 2/18/24 - your kids scratched tic-tac-toe into the sandstone. Please educate them on how to treat the rock with respect.

In Sandy Corridor. The top one at the bottom of the rappel below Fresh Air, the bottom one on the trail up. Hoping it isn't climbers, but i've never seen regular hikers up here.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
