Availability of Climbing Near the Richmond Area?

I have a job opportunity just outside of Richmond and I'm curious how the area would be for someone who is hopelessly addicted to climbing, hiking / backpacking, and most other outdoor activities. I'm assuming that the opportunities for ice climbing and skiing would be slim to none, but what about sport or trad? I'm not opposed to longer drives for a day trip, as I currently do ~2hrs to the Gunks, or ~3hrs to the ADK or Rumney.

Lots of places to go within 3+ hours ranging from local bouldering spots to Seneca and just about everything in between.  Shenandoah National Park/Skyline drive is about 90 minutes away and has great hiking and decent climbing.

Lived in the area, decent for climbing. There's Manchester wall right in Richmond, good for an after work session, cool granite train trestles with sport and trad routes. Love gap, wintergreen, hidden rocks are 2 ish hours away, okay climbing with hidden rocks being the best by a long shot. Reeds Creek is 3 hrs away, great sport routes. And seneca is a little further than that, the first really good crag where most trad climbers go. Very good sport/boulder/single pitch trad will be at the new river gorge.

And tons of good granite and plenty of adventure at Old Rag

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
