Crags with Easy TR Access
|
What crags in CO can you easily walk to the top and hang a TR? Front range preferred but can be anywhere in CO. I know of Lookout Mountain Crag and sometimes North Table. |

Hey! Here are some other threads that have asked the same. Might have some good suggestions: https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/120764449/top-rope-set-up-areas https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/114799482/best-crag-in-boulder-for-easy-top-roping https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/112017591/route-recommendation-walk-up-top-rope https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/115338818/top-roping-near-denverboulder |

Castlewood Canyon - Lots of stuff on the western side like Grocery Store & Neanderthal Walls have good top access. I've rapped in on the east side as well (once) but it was sort of a pain. |
|
Seconding the Narrow Gauge Slabs - they're south facing and pretty exposed so great for the winter season as well. What sort of grades/styles are you looking for? That can help narrow down some options. |
|
Thank you! I'm looking through all the suggestions now. Tal, I'm prioritizing easy access (< 1 mile approach) and ease of setting up a TR. Any style. 5.4 through 5.12 |

I can also recommend some of the Wonderland crags - Puff's Lair and the Walls of Honah Lee (on MP), the new crags "Palette Wall", "Bath House", "Pebble Beach", "The Hotel Room", "Seasoned Slab", and "Boogie Water Wall" (all not on MP) all offer pretty easy walk-up TR access. Puff's and Honah Lee are both just 5 or so minutes from the parking, the others are more like 1-1.25mi. Wannabe Wall at CCC and Tiers of Zion as well but I'm not sure what the season for those quite is. |

Nip and Tuck in Boulder canyon. |

Mary's Lake Crags in Estes Park has some good options next to the car. |

Duncans Ridge in Fort Collins has a bunch of TR anchors that are accessed before descending to the main climbing area. Also rotary park has two easily accessed TR anchors |
