Jackson Falls IL Shawnee

Hey I have three young guys that are looking to do their first outdoor lead climbing at Jackson Fall over Easter weekend. I would feel better if we had a local literally show us the ropes. Will reimburse, can anyone give us a hand?

I think Ferne Clyffe would be a better place to get their first oudoor leads in. There are tons of easy fun routes at Ferne Clyffe, with very easy access.

Failing that, I would try for Spleef Peak and then head right down the canyon and hit up the area around Greg’s Chicken Shack. There are a few fun moderates there. I realize I didn’t answer your question though. I hope you find someone.

Second the recommendation for Fern Clyff. I'll be in the area that weekend on a multi-family trip,.so I can't really offer much help. We're checking out Alto Pass, which might also be worth looking at for you. Looks like lots of easy stuff good for first leads.
