Hello everyone, my name is Kent Brown. I am looking for a group of people to climb Mt. Denali with later this year with a start date around June 12th. I have completed a few intermediate mountaineering courses in So Cal as well as multiple summits of Mt. Whitney. I will also be going to Colorado for three month prior to train. If you are interested or know anyone who would be, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Hey brother.  Have you considered going guided?

Hey Kent, that’s a big mountain! Here’s a few things I’d recommend.
First, Have you applied for a permit yet? If so that’s great. At this point it’s almost two months later than the OP so you’re cutting it close even at 6 months to prep if that’s your timeline.

I would disclose more of your climbing history, glacier travel and crevasse rescue courses if you have them.

I’ve done the climb, if you have questions I’ll share as much background with you as needed. Cheers buddy!

Jericho, what year were you on Denali? 2022 we summitted with someone of the same name and partner Jake. Us four were the only people above 17k that day. Wondering of that may be you?

Kent, not trying to be a dick, but hire a guide. If you call it “Mt. Denali,” you don’t know enough about the mountain to safely and responsibly team up with a group of randoms. Denali is a lemmings party. Just because there’s a lot of other lemmings around you, doesn’t mean safety is assured.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
