Note that in Colorado Springs, in August it is HOT. Hot like boiling skin on the rock. Find someone willing to get up really early in the a.m. Looks like it's getting light out around 5:30. You should start climbing by 6 to enjoy the temps.
Early morning for sure!!! The best rock to be on is definitely Gray Rock. Is has got some of the best quality climbs in the area and is easy to get to and has amazing views, (OK, maybe I am a little biased since this is where I learned to climb.) At any rate, if you need to go with someone, I can always go for a day trip. I live in Boulder, but I would be willing to make the drive if no-one else wants to go.

A portion east face of Cathedral Rock(Grey Rock) is closed through Oct. due to Raptor nesting, but just the far right side. The majority of the climbs are still accessable. Just be aware that there is an area of Cathedral Rock that is closed during the summer. PM me if your serious about getting out, and I can make it happen. Climb safe.
