Jackson Hole cragging?

Hey All,

I've never been to Jackson Hole but I'll be there next week with some ski friends.  Are there any cragging areas within an hour or two that would be climbable this time of year?   Looking for sport, trad or multipitch, moderates to 5.10+

Thanks!

There isn't really any rock climbing close to Jackson Hole in the winter. Closest place would be Sinks Canyon in Lander, 3 hours away. Really, the skiing is some of the best in the country so I personally wouldn't bother trying to climb.

Agree with hifno… The skiing at JH is way better than the cragging out on the Idaho basalt. Climbing at Sinks is better, but I don’t know that it’s worth 6 hours driving and a missed day of skiing…

Have a great time!

Thanks alot for your responses.  Guess I'll be forced to ski JH after all. Haha.

get those quick draws ready baby... drop Corbets.. then climb out... Not the worst climbing I've ever done when i was there in the summer tbh.
