Anyone ever climbed here in the past looks like such a cool area, wondering how someone gets access to climb here or know anything about this area. This is not even half the wall

Super interesting looking spot, however as far as I can tell the entire base of the wall is private industrial property.  Looking at the area on google earth, it looks like the top of the wall backs up to residential property so you’d likely be climbing right into someone’s backyard

Yeah I pick up stuff for work at one of the businesses around here all the time and it’s so enticing to just bring the rope and start climbing wonder if I could ask a business or the home owner to rap down from there yard

wonder If the town owns the quarry or if it’s considered the business land here is another area of the wall in this photo

I've scoped this place out on Google maps before after seeing it on a topographical map, and there's a pretty good street view from what looks like someone's 360* drone shot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/D8TdsRe9ZuCd4NkKA . Also looks like there may be some decent sized boulders separate from the cliff itself.

From a quick look on the MA interactive property map (cropped the owner's info but you can find it pretty easily), it looks like the cliff itself may be its own plot separate from the houses above and the businesses below. Maybe just one owner to talk to at least? If you squint, you can kind of see this shape on Google maps where the yard fences end and the trees begin.

I've also spied this cliff from the road but never looked into it. I do think it would involve some cleaning (lichen and rocks) so I'm not sure if it would be too disruptive to the houses/buisnesses.

From experience the answer is always no when you ask. Far too many liability concerns from a land owners perspective. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try especially if you think there’s something worthwhile here. It’s just a tough battle you have to be willing to take on. There are legal protections in MA for landowners that allow for recreation on their land. It’s just getting the landowner to understand that and it ends up being work on their end. It’s just easier to say no, sorry go to Quincy Quarries.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
