Looking for some gloves for ice/mixed climbing. Ideally something in a women’s version or something with shorter fingers.

You will likely have better luck in the for sale want do buy section

What size? I have a pair of Outdoor research extravert gloves for sale. Size large. $30 I like them for lead climbing.

Showa Temres 282-02 have short fingers. I find the current generation BD gloves also have moderate fingers.

Camp/Cassin Geko line and Aiiu gloves (UT ice legend Doug Heinrich's company) are also good options.

BD Terminator is great for leading ice, pretty short fingers as well, unlike Hestra gloves.
The ergo grip line would be great if it wasn't for those too long fingers

I have camp ice geko pros, Hestra wool terry ergos, rab vapor rise gloves, and thicker Hestra for the cold days. I would definitely look at the Hestra line over the others. They are the best gloves I’ve ever had.

Hands down best gloves I’ve used are Aniiu.
Viinson Light for climbing, Viinson or Tyree Short for belaying/rappelling/skiing

What makes them good?

The fit. The quality of materials and workmanship. Great balance between warmth and dexterity. Easy to handle ice screws, carabiners, ropes/cord/knots. They are durable and do great in a variety of harsh conditions. Nice snot patch and carabiner clip on finger to hang from a harness or at a belay.

You want the Japanese ice fishing gloves. Temres 282-02. They are super flexible, completely waterproof, and surprisingly warm. No they are not a belay glove, but those gloves + liner have been warm enough for all of the climbs I’ve done. All of my friends who’ve tried them have been jealous.

I checked out their website.  The folks who run the company do seem to have legitimate climbing credentials, so that's good.

The gloves are on clearance at Backcountry, so I just ordered a pair to check them out.

I have waaaaay too many pairs of gloves, but am always on the lookout for the perfect glove.  Maybe these will be the unicorn glove I have been searching for.

The only issue with this is that they don’t come small enough. I have small wide hands with short fingers

The size M is too big for you? That’s like a S/XS with short fingers in NA sizing.

I have a pair of these (viinson) in small like I wear in other gloves and I'm not sure if I bought the wrong length, but the fingers are super baggy (width/girth and at the tip) - did you find they fit well with your hand size?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
