Funemployed: Help Me Climb Every Route in my Guidebook (South Platte Partners)
|
Hey Folks, Decided to jump ship and do a radical sabbatical for a few months. I've been working on a guidebook for an area in the platte I've been developing along with some other folks and would like to climb all of the routes in the guidebook. There's roughly 120 roped routes currently (will likely be many more by summer) from 5.easy to 5.12+, I've probably climbed 50 or so of them so far. Generally south/southwest/west facing but there are crags at all sun aspects so there's something to do year round for sure. It's right around an hour car to car from my house in the west metro. Climbing varies from typical SPlatte fare of slabs and cracks to featured staunton-esque face climbing to a bit of overhanging jug hauls and everything in between, single pitch and some shorter multipitches. I don't care what grade you climb as long as you give a safe belay - and if you climb on the harder end of the spectrum there's some open projects you can try to snag as well. I'll spend a lot of time camping out there this spring/early summer so happy to do overnight trips and carpool or just do carpool day trips or just have you meet me out there. There's also a bunch of established boulder problems (~100) with room for hundreds more so if you're more of a pebble pincher instead, would be happy to do some bouldering days as well. Shoot me a message if you're interested. I'm funemployed so my availability is mostly wide open besides some travel plans. Feel free to invite your friends, if we're in groups of more than 2 I'll probably try and snag some action shots/videos for the guide or short film I'm working on for it. Here are some shots I've taken already of the region |

Yo Tal! I know we’ve tried to connect a few times to no avail, but I would love to meet up with ya over the coming months! My March and April are fairly open with May getting a bit more busy! Cheers man! |

Bumping this - finally coming to a good stopping point (read: almost out of hangers) on adding new routes and it’s now time to tackle some of the projects I’ve made. I don’t really care if I’m the first to send them or if you do as long as they get sent eventually. Looking at the guide, I’ve got trad and sport projectsy in the 5.10+ to 5.13 range. I’ll add some pics for stokes. Hit me up if you’re interested - most of these are relatively south facing so early mornings and half-days suggested for the next couple of months. Still funemployed, so availability is still mostly wide open besides being gone for the 2nd half of July due to a trip to Alaska. |

Bump because that last picture roof pitch is bananas |

Yo Tal, I'm free tomorrow! |

Tal M wrote: Someone please climb this because it was a monumental pain to clean and equip ground up lol. You can kinda see it’s a perfect splitter finger crack up and through the roof to an amazing hand crack at the lip!!!! |

Bump for Tal and a boatload of great climbing out there in Wonderland! |
|
Hey folks, reviving this for a bit as Wonderland is heading into primo sending temps (courtesy of the south/southwest aspects of the majority of the crags). Would love to get out on some of the open projects (5.12 and up are the only ones that remain for ropes, please god slab master save me), climb some of the established lines (150+ roped routes 5.easy - 5.13, a few dozen boulder problems up to V11), or go explore and establish some new stuff. Some glory shots for the algorithm or whatever |

PMed you! |
