Someone must have a BD heated chalk bag gathering (chalk) dust in the bottom of a gear bin... Hope you have one to help me ride out the winter!

Just throw a couple of hot hands packets in your current chalk bag (directly in the chalk)

I do this very thing, but the chalk bag itself is of course not insulated. Mostly I'd like to not use and trash so many hot hands, especially when I'm out for only a few hours on a short day. The BD bag gets super hot, too!

Unfortunately it does not. Have you ever used one?  I was pretty disappointed.

Once yes and I was super impressed! Maybe it wasn't that cold outside, or I was very cold and anything would have felt hot. Who knows. Regardless, I still look forward to trying one!

I haven't used them for this purpose yet, but I bought a pair of battery powered hand warmers for $20 and was going to put them in a zip lock in my chalk bag to get the same effect (I was also thinking about sewing a tiny fleece bag to put them in, inside the chalk bag, to hold a little more of the heat. They get just as hot as a hot hands.

A partner of mine is actually planning to do that very thing! I think it's a great idea, the only downside might be weight and being certain the warmer doesn't fall out. Let me know how it works out.
