Has anyone used the online measurement guide when buying Phantoms? I have a 24cm foot length and ordered the size 39.5. I feel like this seems a little bit small but we'll see. How accurate was the sizing guide for you? I know most recommend to try on ice boots at a store, but the nearest retailer is 6hrs away from me.
I find the Phantom Tech to fit a touch big. I usually wear a 44 in Sportiva and some other Scarpa boots, but found 43.5 to fit the best in the Phantom Tech. I have a 28cm foot
I think the boot will break in for width as you use it. The length is key as you don't wanna hit your toes when kicking steps. I have size 44 and find the width okay but heel too loose (and apparently many others have the same issue). I've heard the next generation of the phantom techs will have a narrower heel.

Curious where you heard this? Scarpa's have had loose heels for decades (my first pair of ice boots 19 years ago, Freney XTs, had all the heel lock of a greased up slip-and-slide). It's the main reason I don't climb in them. I'd probably switch in a heartbeat if they actually followed through, since Sportiva's durability seems to be getting worse by the year.

This latest edition of the Phantom Tech, that I think came out 2023, has a narrower heel. Own both, notice the fit difference a lot.
