Recently someone claimed a 5.10 crack FA on the Roadside crags in Queen Creek Canyon. It's pretty arrogant to assume it was an FA especially when someone informed them it was probably done and that it was closed to climbing. If you find an awesome unknown (to you) roadside crack anywhere, you are probably following in other's footprints.
The crags along hwy 60 have been closed to climbing by ADOT since they blew the second pitch of Volcanic Panic in the 90s. Please do not endanger access by climbing above the highway or developing areas above the highway. Only the Pond area is available to us, the rest is private property.
I've included a few images from ADOT's website where they keep pretty good documentation of their RoW. I think it's important for people to know there are resources and people to connect with so that they can make informed decisions.
Manny, hopefully I'm not hijacking the thread, but I'd like to share the following links which are the basis for climbing being. allowed on Resolution Copper land. I understand your post is about ADOT right-of-way, but these pieces are important parts of the puzzle.

In short, thanks for bringing this up and for reinforcing the importance of access :)
Yes you're hijacking my post with information available on the Queen Creek Canyon page. Are you a member of QCC? I was until.several other original members severed ties with them.
