There are comments on the Tieton area page here from last summer saying there will be a new guidebook out for Tieton this year at some point.  Anyone know anything firmer on that?

I posed the question to a few relevant facebook climbing groups a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately I did not get any replies.

Anyone hear anything about a new guidebook for Tieton River Canyon?

Picked up mine today. So good to have a brand new comprehensive guidebook to the area, given that the last comprehensive one by Marlene Ford and Jim Yoder was from two decades ago.

It was weird to open up the parcel and be greeted by an all black cover, no photo, no images, just "CLIMB TIETON" on the front and spine...

Browsing through the book it looks like Jacob, Andy, and Walter are far more stringent when it comes to handing out "stars" than Marlene and Jim were - though in this guidebook it's out of 3 hops instead of out of 4 stars.

Looking forward to hitting up some of these newer crags next time I head down there!

That's how I ordered.

Maybe try to contact them and see if they received your order

I submitted my order last week and also never heard back. Used the email on the website and got a bill requesting payment. Info also included that the book would be available in February as it is being printed again!

So try the email address info@yakimaclimbingscene.org

I think the Tieton has always been one of the more understated climbing areas in WA, and I wonder if the cover is a bit of an ode to that?

Certainly the climbing itself doesn't need a sales pitch, nor are the authors in it for the money (it all goes back to the crags anyways). And totally agree that it's amazing to have such a sweet resource for this area!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
