Recommendations for lighter mountaineering boots for wide feet, doing California 14's in the spring ...

My friend got the La Sportiva Aequilibrium Lt's   Wondering how they compare witht the ST's?  I have wider feet.  Also any feedback on sizing would b helpful, I'm a size 44.5 (11) windering if I should size up to an 11.5?  Anyone have beta on the comparable Scarpas?

In terms of comparable Scarpas, I believe the various ribelle models can be compared to the various aequilibriums.

LT is leather, ST is synthetic

Mammut boots have been nicely wider for me.
