Lots to speculate on, no real info yet. Looks like a straight forward sport route. 4 bolts off the deck, hard to get hurt that high. Curious if we'll hear anything more.

I believe the route is seeking forgiveness (5.10) https://www.climbri.org/ross.htm which is not on mountain project

Can anyone forward the original link, as I am unable to open it from OP. I haven't heard of this accident, but have friends who climb there frequently, so am concerned.

Killingly, CT – A man was airlifted after he fell during a climb on Ross’ Cliffs within Old Furnace State Park Sunday evening. Firefighters had to use technical rescue skills and a boat to extricate him from the woods

.....

The climber was flown to UMass Memorial Hospital (Worcester, MA) with serious injuries.

I was there recently and the crag to the right of the Parking Lot Wall was absolutely alive with big wasps/yellowjackets/big scary buzzing things.  We looked at two places and fled the plague.  It was a serious infestation. I wonder if he startled a nest of 'em.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
