Hey y’all, my name is Jack. I’m an Asheville native who just moved back after a long exile in NYC, looking for climbing/training/running/general outdoor shenanigans buddies. I climb 5.9 in the Gunks and 5.11 in the Red, so not strong by any stretch of the imagination, but super motivated to climb a lot and get better. Are you a crusher who needs a belay? Are you trying to climb a shit load of moderate pitches in a day? Are you trying to get out consistently and have a good time? Gimme a call!

I’m a 35 year old man, very into safe climbing and fun, respectful vibes. Self employed and flexible schedule wise. Short to medium term goals include getting reacquainted with the area classics and starting to feel really solid climbing 5.10-11 on gear. Longer term…I dunno…flail on Glass Menagerie? Linville Crusher? Who knows! So many options! Right now would love to just find some consistent partners to climb and train and push each other in a fun, supportive way.

As a side note, my work is playing bluegrass and old time fiddle and building violins. So if you pick or are into woodworking, added bonus of having plenty to talk about on the ride to the crag.

Also- any advice about the gyms in town? The downtown Climbmax of my youth is no more. I live very close to Cultivate and would probably just default to that, but it seems like Riviter is bigger and fancier? Any thoughts on the community/partner finding qualities of either?

Anyway, thanks for reading this, give me a shout if any of this sounds interesting.

Hey Jack! I just moved to Asheville to work on hurricane relief and I want to spend my one day off a week (Saturdays) climbing. I'm planning to be in the area for the next 5 months at least, and looking for an occasional partner, and generally to meet more climbers in the community. Your climbing level sounds aligned with mine and I like the way you describe your spirit at the crag. I started climbing a couple years ago at Indian Creek, and climbed a bunch on and off there and in Colorado ever since. I recently spent a month in a gym bringing my confidence up on 5.10/5.11s. Any chance you’re interested in chatting more or getting out there this weekend? 860-712-4440

Hey Jack!  I'm not too far from Asheville.  I'm getting back into the game after some time off from sport and looking to learn trad and multipitch.  Give me a shout if interested! 9106585083.  Btw, do you mountain bike by chance?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
