I replaced the crux bolt on Deseret Moon about a year ago and it has become loose. Failure to tighten, this is the same problem with the original bolt and same problem with the first hole I drilled and abandoned. If anyone is heading up that way soon and wants to check it out, I think it needs a different location and probably a glue in. I couldn't feel any change when I drilled but there is potentially some weakness deeper in the rock in that original placement spot. There have been a couple instances of people ripping gear and decking there, would be nice to find a suitable spot for one.

Not super helpful (sorry), but we were just on it yesterday and my friend hand tightened the bolt because it was spinning. Perhaps just some recent evidence to support rebolting it…

The bolt would not tighten the other day, we removed the hanger to save someone from climbing up to the bad bolt. Needs glue in for sure

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
