Ever since I started climbing about 3-4 weeks ago my middle fingers on both hand have been hurting especially when pressure is applied. It’s not my pulley if it was I don’t think I would still be able to climb. I can still climb just fine my middle fingers just hurt. Is there anything I can do to solve this issue or will it just fix itself with time?

I’ll try to be helpful, it could be any number of things if you just started climbing. How often are you climbing? How long are your sessions? What intensity are your sessions? Tendons take time to strengthen, so there is a chance you are overdoing it.

Rest is the best medicine. Hard to rest finger injuries because our hobby is so much stress on our fingers but it is what it is. Take 2-3 rest days in between climbing and focus on technique vs pulling hard. Soreness is normal but pain is not. Listen to your body before you get an injury that chases you for months. If it hurts, you just gotta rest it.

This is the part of your life you start buying ibuprofen in bulk.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
