Search forums?

I must be missing something...how do you search a forum? Android

This is true in Android, too. Search bar that says "Find routes, areas, etc" will net forum results on the results page that you can filter and sort by. Unfortunately, you can't search individual sub-forums, it's only keyword across the entire forum (true for website, too). 

1. Tap Forums button on main app screen
2. Tap any sub-forum link
3. Tap any topic link
4. Tap any user's name
5. See header with profile icon, notification bubble, and "hamburger" (three horizontal line) symbol
6. Tap hamburger icon
7. Search keyword(s)
8. Tap Forums to filter results

There’s got to be a better way. A more intuitive search could help curb the forum clutter. Just type “dogs” next time you feel compelled to rant. Imagine a search bar in the location of this red circle, for example.

Pretty embarrassing for an app like this, that we all want to love and want to support, to not have a basic forum search capability. Ironically, when I went to go type this comment from my iphone, the “post reply” button worked as well as the “close door” button on an elevator (i.e. it did nothing). So now I have to go open the web version just to post this comment…because I guess even the forum posting doesn’t work on the app.
