Unbelievable. 19 pages filled with "ick" before someone mentioned dog shit.

At least we know it wasn’t from my girls. Mustabeen Soju. Don’t tell Anna that I said that.

Can’t remember if this has been mentioned, but probably happened at some point to nearly everyone…..on a multipitch belay ledge, finding your rope is flaking into a puddle of piss (or worse) left by a recent team ahead of you.

Referring to famous pro climbers by first name when you're not on a first-name basis with them.

I was under the impression that Florida is a frictionless plane... It has peaks?

Presumably Florida has 'bumps' in most counties that I guess could qualify as 'peaks'---all things being relative!!! The reality is that the actual high point in each Florida county will undoubtedly be man made. What a quest though---Louisiana next!!!!

I would love to see a Climbing Mag headline of a dude "scaling" a fire escape.

Here's the County Highpointers web site for Florida:

http://www.cohp.org/fl/florida.xml

A large number of counties, many with multiple locations that each "might be" the county's high point and, bonus, notes about which high points are "man made."

Ah, you’re all thinking about this two dimensionally. In Florida, it’s all about the surprise inverted mountains - the sink holes.

Well, that would be the 'low points'---a different (though undoubtedly more interesting and challenging) quest.

Having climbed in Scotland there was always a flask with us. Makes the climbing and/or swimming less scary, and comes in handy in case you get betided.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
