If I were in your shoes id have a backup plan ready to go. When looking at model forecasts and chances of precip the canyons based on their topography tend to over preform in wringing moisture out of the atmosphere as systems pass over the crest of the spring mountain range. (see rain shadow effect)

Do any locals have insight about how much time will be needed to let the rock dry out based on the amount of precip currently forecasted? Think things will be dry enough by Sunday?
