I'm from out of town but after walking through this place with my family I couldn't help but wonder if there had been any development efforts on the cliffs along the catwalk or upstream of them? Was there any access discussion with the park and locals?
It's choss, to be sure, but so is the pinnacles, so is mickeys beach, and yet there people have managed to chisel classics from the mud. The crystal-lined pockets looked rad, and many of the walls are full-length pitches. Like a small smith rock with more friable rock (ok maybe more like a concentrated version of the pinnacles).
I don't think that whole corner of the state has seen much development, since the rock is crap and nobody lives near it. Anybody that really cares enough about climbing to do development work likely lives closer to the opposite corner of the state, where there's thousands of potential FAs on marginally better rock. The cliffs throughout the region though are impressive, along with the occasional tower.
