Messaging Sellers and/or Individuals

I've been in the buy sell trade forum for the last couple days, and I can't for the life of me, figure out if there is a way to see chats with people after I first message them. I only seem to get email responses, and can never find a dedicated chat thread in MP. It just ends up being back and forth emails or an exchange of phone numbers. Is there any dedicated chat thread that opens in MP, or does that just not exist for some reason and it all routes directly into email. Am I blind?
