Hah! I wondered about the Old Brenva but simply didn't recognise the detail. I've done the route twice and on the second occasion the top bit looked nothing like how it looked on the first - neither of which resembled your photo! It was a long time ago, though.

Buzz is correct. It was used to link into Five Years After. It was probably named for the slippery white streak and because it can be used to reach Chicken Heads.
