Nudist climbers. Especially at the crag with children out and about.

I guess different strokes for different folks, but I never saw the appeal of it. Maybe I was raised differently. Also imagining getting rope burn or falling and cheesegrating my wobbly bits doesn’t sound like much fun either.

Jumping to produce a soft catch - is that still a thing?  How do they do it on a multi pitch?

On multipitches I actually jump off the ledge to give an even harder catch. I'm doing them a favor by reminding them that the leader must not fall

That's odd.  I only get adds for big wall harnesses and Russian women who want to marry me.

Send has been used for 30 years or so, depending on the locale. It came up as a simple way to say you led a route without falling, or did a boulder problem, also without falling.

It simplified redpoint, pinkpoint, pinkpoint but I had a small breakfast, brownpoint but not enough to leak down my leg, flash because my girlfriend used different beta, etc. 

Now mountain bikers refer to good soil moisture as “sendy conditions” skiers go “full send” and I’m sure “send it” gets shouted at pie eating contests now.

It’s gone. It’s no longer ours. If you’ve been playing this game for less than 10 years, you probably don’t know a world where you aspired to “send” and your coworkers just went mountain biking.
