I've got two days after a business trip in SF to climb and am headed to Yosemite. I'm getting on Royal Arches with a friend on Friday but am free on Saturday.
I'll have a rack of singles from ballnutz to a #4, a tag line and whatever stoke is left over after Friday's climb. Maybe the tank will be full and maybe I'll be absolutely wrecked. I'm 46 and haven't figured out how my body works yet.
First time in the valley, so I am 100% a liability to everyone around me. No idea where I'm staying. No idea where anything is. Need to be at SFO for a flight by noon on Sunday. I'll be living out of a rented minivan with a sleeping bag, water, instant coffee, and some trail mix. Barely any granite experience. I hate run outs and am very focused on not getting killed before my kids graduate high school.
I'm happy to spend the day wandering around like an idiot with a fellow shit show or belay someone competent on their proj. Single pitch cragging or bouldering is probably the safest bet after a long Friday. I have no idea what grades even mean in Yosemite. 5.9 trad? 5.10 trad? V0? My tick list is public. You'll notice a dearth of slabs.
Are you intrigued? Let's do this.
