Any use of ‘splitter’ other than describing a crack. Referring to grips instead of holds. Climbers who repel a route. |

Gym climbers on a field trip. Brand new helmets/ draws, at least one grigri per person, gym certification tags, belay glasses... Just to top rope every 5.8 at the crag |

Anything swinging free on a pack. Too-long coils on a pack. Sad turtles. Upside-down draws on a gear loop. Tripping hazards on a gear loop. Supine (or prone, theoretically) with overhead hazard. Edge-hazard obliviousness. Too much slack. Inability to provide slack. Incorrect instruction. Shouted anchor-cleaning instructions. Sketchy leader. "off-belay" at the top of a single-pitch climb. Yard sales. Carelessness at height (e.g. water bottle placed on sloping ledge). Hmm, it seems that I am quite judgemental! |
