Broken Map for YEARS!

Ever since I got the app, my map has not had a directional sonar/arrow reference thing on my blue location dot. Just a plane blue dot, leaving me guessing/ inferring the direction I’m facing. I’ve tried deleting the app, goggling location settings, etc. any new ideas or quick fixes??

Is this for iOS or Android? If you open a different map app like Google Maps, do you see the direction arrow? 

Is this iOS? What are your settings for location for mp?

Issue has been solved! Compass calibration setting was turned off. Thanks for the help!
