What ski resort should I work at this winter?

I’m looking for a job at a ski resort this winter. I’ve never worked at one before, and don’t know much at all about the ski industry. I’m looking for a resort that has affordable employee housing and access to climbing through the winter months (yes I’m aware there aren’t many resorts near areas warm enough to climb). What are my best options?

I think the Taos area resorts might be ok. That’d give you access to a lot of the climbing in New Mexico, some of it’s pretty good in the winter.

I can’t speak to the affordability of Taos, it’s probably expensive.

Or Mammoth. They have employee housing in Bishop

Mammoth is surely the best combination out there for a major ski destination within an hour of a major winter rock climbing destination (Bishop)

Another contender, as Todd mentioned, is Mt Bachelor / Smith. Though Smith isn't as reliable for good winter weather as Bishop.

Can't speak to the employee housing situation.

Affordable employee housing at a ski area means 5 room mates instead of 7.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
