This news came as a surprise. The small bit of climbing that I was lucky to have done with John was a gift and a blessing. You’re gone too soon, you”ll be missed by many. Off belay, John…

John’s wife posted on FB, “It is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of my our beloved husband and father, John Eudy. John passed away at 12:39 PM today, July 19, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. We do not have any details for services yet, but we will keep everybody posted as we make arrangements. Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.”

Thank you for such a nice note about my husband.  I appreciate your kind words. He loved climbing so much.

So sad to hear this.  I climbed with John at TRC, and remember him fondly.  We loved him so much, as well.

Thanks again.  I was wondering if you could share this with any other climbing buddies he had or with TRC please?

Looking forward to the Celebration in Angier, Linda. Please let me know if there’s anything I can help with, or if there’s anything you need…

Also, if there are anyone who’s climbed with John who might want to have a day out at one of the crags, let’s see what we naught be able to organize. Dedicate a day to swapping stories and dedicating a climbing day to John.
