Soaked crash pad

Through some stupidity, my metolius session 2 crash pad got left in standing water overnight and is now water logged. I have tried putting it in front of a fan, dehumidifier, for a month now, and it's still heavy from water. Do I accept defeat? Does anyone have experience with fixing this? |

If it's still way heavy with water, the closed cell foam is retaining water. Maybe try running it over with a truck a couple dozen times. I'm only mildly joking. I would definitely try that if I couldn't get the water out. |

Yeah, I feared that was the issue. I can run it over a couple times for science and post my findings. |

Metolius has great customer service in my experience. I might run it by them if I were in your shoes. |

Have you taken the foam out of the pad? The water vapor is probably having a hard time passing through the coated fabric. |

Could you try to blow dry the naked foam or cover it in water absorbing materials like salt to draw the moisture out, or would that cause damage. |

Does metolius use a different foam compound from other brands? I’ve soaked my organic and mad rock many times to many degrees, and they always air dry just fine. |
