Bumping the above. Curious if anyone has been up the southwest rib of SEWS yet this season.

There’s still quite a bit of intermittent snow on the approach .  More so for SEWS.  Beckey route was clear as of last week.  Saw several parties on top of SEWS but not sure which routes they were on.

Thanks,  so no crampons and ice axe required?

No crampons or axe necessary unless you’re pretty uncomfortable on snow.  The gulley up to Lib Bell had pretty good steps in.  FYI, this was as of 6/14.

Thanks again, how were the mozzies?  They like me ....

Was up there today. Approach shoes are fine! There was a thunderstorm last night and some fat rain but climbs dried out mostly by the afternoon. Other than a charging, aggressive mountain goat, it's in!

If you're there on the 24/25/26 - we should figure something out. Shoot me a text. 6oh4.815.967eight - keen on the rib and the bell.

There are specific seepages I'd like to know about on that face. Curious when they tend to dry out at the earliest

Which route?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
