Holcomb valley Road
Has anyone driven up to Holcomb lately? Weather is looking great but I didn’t know if the road is passable or if there is snow on the ground still. Please let me know! |
Nah. I’ll leave it right here where it is. Thank you for your concern. |

Lol. Doesn’t look like anyone else does. |

I haven't been there myself and I don't know if the road is in good condition, but according to this Forest Service site, Holcomb Valley is clear of snow. It's probably worth calling the Ranger Station and asking them since the MP beta page indicates there are potentially locked gates on the approach road depending on seasonality. |

Maybe now that this thread is in the correct sub-forum you might get some useful beta from people in that region. |

Keep your stinky finger out of my pie Donovan! Michael B… thank you very much. |

I went 4/20, there is a big puddle near the Southern parking lot that was 2ft deep. All the other puddles I could drive around. The only closed roads I found were in the south side of the lake, the north side was all open. |

Thanks Mike! How close to the parking lot did you get before the water puddle? |
This gives me hope that the road to Black Bluff might be open too |

Dang. That’s quite far away from the parking lot. I guess I’ll give it a few more weeks before I try to drive my car there. Thank you so much for responding. |

Anyone been out there recently since 4/20 for status on the seasonal pools of water? |
Out there today. All clear. |

Do you need 4x4? Haven’t been in years and a friend wants to go |
