I get your point but kickers/punters ironically actually average the longest NFL career of any position, while getting paid the least…so their transition away from the NFL should be the easiest. In this guy’s case he also has a wife and owns a company; so however douchey he may be none of that, unfortunately, really applies….except your first sentence

Andrew, you wound me.  I’m well aware of what Godwin’s law is.   I was merely saying there should be something similar/analogous to it for bringing up the 1st amendment and arguing it when it actually doesn’t apply and it sends the issue down a tangential rabbit hole.  Call it “Madison’s Law” in honor of James.  Perhaps the analogy was strained.
