I'd love to volunteer to belay, but when I try to sign up through the link, it says I'll need to pay $20 (balance due later). Is that true or am I just signing up wrong?

Yeah, thanks, I can read, and I understand that it's supposed to be free, but when I actually try to sign up, it shows this:

Hi Doug! I’d love to help also - do volunteers need to sign up through the link or are you organizing belayers separately?

Sorry for the confusion.  Yes, to volunteer please go through the link (QRcode), not through me. Thanks for volunteering!

To volunteer, it is free: but if you stay to climb after, there is a discounted rate of $20.  The link will be fixed today to enable one to sign up to belay without having to pay.

Great, thanks for clarifying, Doug! Just signed up to volunteer at the first one – looking forward to it!

My mom has Parkinson's Disease, so this is especially important to me. I work on Tuesdays from 11-7pm, but if you ever need belayers another time, I would love to volunteer!

sorry again for the confusion. There is no fee to volunteer to belay.  The flyer has been updated to reflect that if you wish to climb AFTER the event, the discounted fee is $23, and NOT $20 as I stated earlier.  Yes, using an iPhone to access the QRcode worked for me.  Thanks to those who will be belaying!

here is a web link to use instead of the QR code:

Thanks Erica and Kate for volunteering.  With the Movement staff i think we have enough belayers for May 7, but we are offering this every week on Tuesdays, so please sign up!

This is really cool, I would like to volunteer but need a Durango event! Love this! Thank you for putting it together!
