Name that mountain Volume 2

It’s prominent from a popular US highway. This photo was taken from a popular ski resort, close to said highway. Its elevation is almost 12,000 feet, and the front shows 2000 feet of relief. Long undocumented routes have been done on the granite visible. I’ve scrambled to the top, which took most of a November day. So it’s not really a hill. More-obscure mountains have been posted on this thread. And most MP users live in US states. More users live in Colorado, compared to any other state, except probably California. Not in the Gores. Andy is correct. (Don’t tell anyone that “Hill” is part of its official name. It’s aka Spud Mountain.) |

giraud bwrote: I dunno, judging from the fact that most mountain project users are based in the US, and that the collective batting average is just about 1.000 on the thread, I'd say that "hills located in a US state" are fair game. It's not always a contest to see who can be quickest on the draw for Ama Dablam or the Matterhorn, it's a fun thread to share some of the cool places everyone has been, and maybe give a bit of inspiration for a trip to some obscure corner of the world, including hills in US states and 900m mountains in Croatia. As for George's post, looks vaguely like something in the Gore Range? |

Tater Hill near Silverton My understanding is this game only has 2 rules- only post another image if you guessed correctly, and only post photos of lumps of Earth that you have to work to get to the top of. |

Tuber Towers? Spud Summits? Mount Murphy? Pomme de Terre Point? Anyway... I'm really getting desperate looking for new ones in my library. Here's an easy one that will get things going: |

Because I don’t know the mountains in the background, please name the summit I’m standing on: Hint: it’s not in Colorado. |

Topping out on the last pitch. The summit in question is a short walk up. Bonus points for guessing our route. Remember: it’s not in Colorado. |

The distant triple summit (right of center) composes the crest of one of the highest peaks in the region.

North of 54 40 Not Marcus Baker, although there are physical similarities. This is on the border of BC and SE AK. Its elevation is over 10k. Not in the Fairweather Range. Not Silverthrone or Lucania. Think Stikine Ice Cap. |
