Messages not showing in iPhone app

There’s no messages area in app v 4.5.6 but they are in mobile site 

Hey there, saw your email to Support@ but I'll follow up here in case others are wondering the same thing. Was there a Messages area in the app in an earlier version? If I remember correctly, that feature is only present for the MP website. 

I have the latest app iOS version 4.5.7 . It’s not updated and there’s no way to see messages. How is the apple app better than the mobile site?

There’s a messages prompt at the top right that says connect your onX account. Is it required to have an onX account to get messages ?
