Looks like some shops are starting to get ready for a retail release?

According to Kevin Mahoney, late fall 2024 release with the usual caveats about production delays, etc.

As one of the ten BD tool owners, I am excited to see how they perform but I am also not disappointed in the way my Reactors have performed over the last few seasons. I think all the manufacturers make quality tools.

I handled the tools at smuggs and mwv. They are good. The integrated head weight options are a unique feature to this tool.

That being said, the biggest improvement for BD here is the picks. The new picks look fucking amazing. Dry, mixed and ice options all look like a huge step up. However, the new picks wont fit the old tools.

Some not-at-all-impartial, but interesting comments about the Hydra from Will Gadd here (right at the end of the article):

Those look pretty sweet!
How about Will Gadd, still winning comps at 56 years old! Seems like a genuinely nice guy too.

Having used them from mid-season last year through this season the subtle change in headweight location is a game changer. Better balance and doesn't overdrive the pick. A Nomic on steroids.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
