Support nationwide bolt and anchor replacement!

I appreciate the bumps and testimonial examples in this thread. I've been meaning to donate to ASCA for a long time, and have never gotten around to it. The donation match and the thread here were a helpful nudge to get me to chip in. |

Same, I had never donated, always thought of it when I would see asca hangers in the wild but always forget to. This thread reminded me to change that! |

Just replaced these old bolts on ZZZZZ (5.9), a Joshua Tree classic face route. One of the bolts had a unique tag commemorating it's installation. If either one of these 35 year old bolts had failed in a fall it would have meant a ground fall. Thanks again to Greg at the ASCA for the hardware! Which one would you rather clip? |

Final day to donate and get your donation matched! Please help us replace old bolts & anchors! |

Thanks to all those doing the hard work of pulling and replacing scary old bolts! It has the added benefit of spreading out the crowds to routes people wouldn't want to climb otherwise. |

I'm glad I saw this thread as it got me motivated to donate. Good work, and thanks a million to all those working hard to replace bad bolts! Chip in a few bucks people, it's the least you could do. |

Glad to have seen this today to remind me to donate during the match! |

Bump! After sending off the last hardware of the year yesterday (to Joshua Tree and El Potrero Chico), totals for 2023: 6652 bolts and 3429 anchor sets (2914 of the bolts were glue-ins) Plus loads of other needed hardware like Doodad puller tools, bits, hole brushes, spinner tools, glue-in epoxy, nozzles, blow pumps, patch epoxy, ascenders, taps & draw studs, permadraws, and more! Donate today and help supply volunteers nationwide! |

Just to piggyback on what Greg said, your ASCA donation goes directly to getting skilled volunteers the right hardware and specialized tools to get things done. I can’t think of many other non-profits that accomplish so much with such small overhead costs. |

Less than $1000 from the goal, help get us over the line with a matched donation! |

We made the match! Over 250 individual donors with an average donation of $150, thanks for stepping up and supporting volunteers doing this important work. |

Thanks Matt! The ASCA is fundraising for the Lower Off Initiative this month (July 2024), and we currently have a matching fund that is doubling donations up to $25,000 thanks to the Angelo Family Foundation & the Sklar Family Fund! The Lower Off Initiative has supplied more than 22,000 clip and lower style anchors across the country, now is a great time to support this huge effort to equip single pitch routes with long lasting steel lower offs. |
