Lost - Black Puffy at base of Birdland (Red Rock)

UPDATE: JACKET FOUND!!

Please message me if you found a black Women’s puffy at the base of Birdland today (Saturday, Dec 2nd).

We finished climbing around 1pm and I left it on the rock at the edge where you lookout into the canyon.

I hiked up there first thing this morning when the gate opened and my jacket was gone. I assume the last party off the route yesterday grabbed it? 

I messaged everyone who ticked Birdland for this past Saturday, December 2nd and the second to last party down saw my jacket on the ground when they left.

Anyone know the last two guys down Birdland on December 2nd? It seems they grabbed my jacket. 

Sometimes folks bring stuff to desert rock sports for lost and found. Try giving them a call

Someone messaged me that it may have been a young local guide with a European client who climbed last on Saturday. 

The guide was me. I didn’t see your jacket anywhere although I wasn’t looking for it at the time.

We rapped after pitch three since we had already climbed a different route earlier. So there were two parties to come down after us. The older gentlemen pair and I believe a man and a woman pair.

Thank you Alex. Can you tell I really want to find my jacket! The second to last party down messaged me that two older gentlemen might have been the last ones to the ground which matches so I'll see if I can track them down. I'm actually remembering those guys now! We talked to the leader at the top of P2 as we were rappelling down.

Did you and I talk on the belay ledge at the start of P3 as you were climbing up? You told me about the rap anchor on the face?

The last party down Birdland on Saturday, Dec 2nd were two older gentlemen from Kansas City. I'm pretty sure they have my jacket. Does anyone know these guys?

I found my jacket!!!

I was able to track down the two Kansas City climbers by posting to the KC Climbing Facebook group and they'll ship my jacket to me when they get home from Red Rock.

I'm thankful to be part of such a great community of people.
