Partner working on AMGA

I am looking for a partner working towards an AMGA discipline or full IFMGA that is flexible and able to travel around/mobile. I am also working towards this goal and it has been hard to find people to train with if the partnership works out it would be cool to mentor and train together throughout the whole AMGA pipeline. I currently have my SPI and RGC completed. |

Yeah, when I said pipeline I just meant all the courses in each discipline ie Alpine/Ice, Rock, and Ski. trying to find someone to travel around the West with and work simultaneously on these AMGA pre-reqs and skills with. So they probably will have to be dirtbagging a bit already. Just seeing if anyone out there is on the same path and similar situation as me. |

Sean Seanwrote: You’re a step ahead of us in any case? WI4+ is the ice portion with emphasis on the + no doubt. They want the applicants to be capable of an expeditious rescue on ice as part of the testing. Either Canadian Rockies or Northeastern US may be better for that training? Alpine is going to be tough as well. Even with 20 years experience during my misspent youth, I feel like a beginner there too. The only portion I may have an easier time is skiing, but again D14 under very special conditions is my best. The steepest resort doubles such as Robert’s or Delirium are at my limit in very good conditions. If it were ice, there’s no way I could carve aggressively enough to avoid splattering onto something. I’m just tagging along my friend until I’m at my limit then stopping there… We should PM and take some of the courses together. Keep in mind I’m old and probably not going to finish, but my friend maybe? |
