Hey all, I just moved back to Tucson for the winter and am looking for partners for Lemmon, Cochise, and more remote backcountry routes. I spent last fall through spring here so I know the area pretty well, and I'm excited to be back.

I'm currently leading in the upper 10s, on gear and bolts, but this season I'd like to work on pushing into the 11s. I'm also hoping to get more comfortable with falling on bolts and gear. There are a few projects that I have my eye on up on Lemmon (Solar Flare, Safecracker, Histoplasmosis) - and down in Cochise (Coati Corner, Stiletto, Tombstone Crack, Old School Executioner). I love longer, more moderate routes in Cochise as well.

My schedule is really flexible, and I have ropes, tons of gear, and experience. Please reach out if you have similar goals for this winter or would like to work some climbs together. Thanks!

I'm going to be living in Tucson from November 3rd - February 3rd for work as a travel nurse.  I have 10 years of mostly trad climbing experience (I'm from NY so mainly trad areas- gunks/daks).  I'm going to be on the market for partners for Cochise and Mt Lemmon.  I will have a 60m rope and my quick draws at first until my husband drives my car out then I will have my whole trad rack.  Hopefully I  can keep up with the grades you would like to pursue.  I can climb some 5.10 trad, on sight 5.8 and some 5.9 trad.  Not sure what my max grade is sport climbing because I don't get to do it very often.  You can message me on here- I prefer to climb weekdays but if I'm available on weekends I'm happy to get out.

Anyone keen to climb at Cochise or some lesser known areas let me know

Here’s a hearty endorsement for a great climbing partner.

Good luck out there Kim! We’ll miss you back at the Gunks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
