Kris Nóva

Nóva was an incredible person in so many different aspects of life, and she constantly used her gifts to help others.  While she had an incredible impact in the tech world, there was nothing more that she loved than mountain climbing.  The first time that we met and hung out she showed me the ice axe that she had tattooed on her shoulder. She would go on for hours about any number of subjects from BLS land and property rights to open source software to ways to make the world a better place for everyone.  I'll miss my friend and her rants, her music, and how much she loved sharing the wonder of the outdoors with everyone she met.  She was an incredibly passionate hacker, climber, and activist. 

May she rest in power.

If anyone has any details about the accident that claimed her life, or has any anecdotes, stories, or pictures of/about Nóva that they want to share, I can pass them on to the memorial that friends and family are putting together in various places.
