Haha - I'm interested in what folks think the future of the climbing guidebooks looks like? Seems like a pdf with embedded links can offer so much more than a print book, but I know folks like the print books too! |

I like the ability to print a single sheet from a pdf for the days climb. The old Green Meyers had a thing where you could pop the page out and take it. That was perfect, and if you climbed enough, you'd need to replace the whole thing as you destroyed the pages from your sweaty pockets and dirty hands-) . |

Kevin DeWeese wrote: To be fair, it isn’t anyone’s, because it doesn’t practically exist yet. I do like a general overview photo with rough lines on section openers then basic black and white topos. I think that is pretty common in major guidebooks these days |

Kevin DeWeese wrote: Not following your point. You need another Monster to wake up? I remember you slammed them by the case at least in 2018/19. I’m just throwing out what I like to see in a guidebook, not saying I stole the manuscript, scanned it, returned it to where Ed keeps it under his beard, then tried to publish it in an attempt to undermine his years of hard work. I am curious if the large overview shots in the new tuolumne guidebook will be accompanied by more traditional topos. |

If we hit 50 pages will the guidebook come out? I’ve been refreshing for updates on Supertopo for over a decade with no luck. Please, fellow climbers, let’s push this to a critical mass and make our leaders act! |
