Sorry Khoi and Austin, but no, BD does not make their cams in the USA and literally has not made their cams in the USA for years. Whatever level of final assembly BD is responsible for does not negate the fact they have manufacturing issues related to their decision to cut staff and prioritize overseas suppliers in their supply chain. As a result it seems like half of the online store has been unavailable for the entire pandemic, which benefits nobody except their competitors.

Anyway, the point is, we want more monstrous springy things. I'd love to support the very fine folks at DMM by buying goliath cams from them. I emailed their UK climbing sales rep about it. Her email is: sue@dmmwales.com

You will never see dmm make truly large cams, their US market share is tiny and squeeze chimneys don't exist in any sustained way outside of the US, let's not forget they didn't even make a 5-6 equivalent until just a few years ago. Wild country is owned by Italians and manufacture in Taiwan entirely including assembly so if you think you're getting a British brand ur just plain wrong.

BD are the only brand out there where it makes any sense to make truly monstrous cams.

They restocked the 7 and 8 recently. Available on the main BD site.

I want a #7, but I don't think I NEED a #7. I think I just need a friend with a #7

Had to get it but it’s the first kit I’ve acquired w no actual project in mind.

Make me an offer. Could use a 6,7, extra .5, etc.

Otherwise hmu if you’re heading to the creek or vedauwoo

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
