Five Ten - any new models?

Any rumors of new models by Five Ten? I notice they've had very limited inventory of some models, like the hiangle, online and I'm hoping that means they have some new models coming out that are more reminiscent of the five ten of the past. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Adidas dumps the climbing shoe line all together and focus solely on mt biking shoes. |

I don't think there is anything new in the Spring '24 line. I've worn 5.10 for nearly 20 years and while it is a bummer it is not what it was, the current shoes are really nice, just a little different. 5.10 turns 40 in a few years if they were going to bring back one model from the past what would you want to see. Copperhead? Galileo? |

I saw on the UK Climbing YouTube channel that 5.10 is not manufacturing any climbing shoes this year. I would not be surprised if they exit the market. |

Yes, I've heard that as well from people in the industry. Adidas is ditching the 5.10 brand and will produce shoes under their own Terrex name going forward. |

I swear... Getting bought out by Adidas has been the worse thing to ever happen to Five-Ten! I wonder if the people at Unparallel can somehow buy back Five-Ten.... |

Adidas seems to have somewhat screwed themselves with the deal as well. Every critical 5.10 employee of course left quickly. All Adidas ended up with was the formula for C4, the brand name, and the existing shoe designs - with no manufacturing capacity or ability to design new shoes. And sadly Charles Cole died only a few years later. No-one happy really. If it had worked out better for everyone, you wonder what the Unparallel folks could have done with e.g. distribution and online sales handled by Adidas. |
