Moving to Spokane for a year. I'm going to have no job out in Spokane because I work half time in Portland so my schedule is open when I'm in Spokane.

You have two gyms I see. What's the best gym out there? I'm a sport climber but go to the gym to boulder. Which gym has the best setting and training setup?

Best crags? Best bouldering spots? Was out there looking for a place last month and checked out Deep Creek and Dishman for a few hours. Want to get out and project some more of the hard 11s and 12s.

Would also love to connect with someone psyched to get out and sport climb since when I'm out there I'll have nothing to do but climb while my GF is at work. Also love bouldering and have lots of foam. Reach out!

I would day neither gym has a great training set up compared to any of the gyms in Portland. I would compare wild walls to the source, but with worse setting.

For in town climbing, the two crags you mentioned are the best in the 5.11 and 5.12 grades. The  other urban cliffs have a handful of solid routes, but lack the concentrating of deep creek and dishman. The bouldering at McClellan and Tum Tum is pretty underrated for how close to town it is.

Yea, I totally plan on checking out both sides of the river for the bouldering. Bought the guide while I was out there and am kinda psyched. That's one horrible thing about Portland is that the nearby bouldering is really just kind of shit. Well, the sport climbing within an hour is kind not great either. Deep Creek seems like Viento with slightly less choss? And even though bouldering has lost its appeal as I have gotten older (harder on this 40 y/o body), I really miss some good nearby bouldering so I'm psyched to dust off the pads.

I recently moved to Spokane from a totally different part of the country and I'm at Wild Walls. Feel free to shoot me a message : )

McLellen is wonderful. I got out there for the first time yesterday. My pads got left behind in the move but I had a great time and want get out there regularly.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
